Leaders

Brian Burd, Senior Pastor Brian Burd, Senior Pastor

Brian was born in Zanesville, OH in 1969. He was raised in a Christian(Pentecostal) home and came to saving faith in Christ at a young age. Brian and his wife, Michelle, were married in 1988 and have been blessed with two wonderful sons, Aaron (born in 1999) and Austin (born in 2004). Brian graduated from Vineyard Leadership Institute in 1999 and served as a preaching mentor at VLI for three years. Before leaving to plant Vineyard Pataskala, Brian served as the assistant pastor at Eastside Vineyard in Pickerington for 2. 5 years. Brian is an avid Ohio State football fan and enjoys golfing, reading, talk radio and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle Burd, Worship Director

Michelle Burd, Worship Director

Michelle is our pastor’s wife and worship director. She and Brian have been married for over 20 years and are raising two energetic sons. Before helping to plant Vineyard Christian Church of Pataskala, Michelle served as the worship director at Eastside Vineyard Church in Pickerington. She works at a local children’s hospital and also teaches private music lessons. She also enjoys volunteering at her kid’s elementary school.

Tirzah Hammond, Children's Ministry Director Tirzah Hammond, Children's Ministry Director

Tirzah serves as our Children's Ministry Director and is doing a wonderful job. She also served the children of Eastside Vineyard before leaving to help plant this church. She is a school nurse for the Southwest Licking School District and lives in Granville (SWL school district) with her husband, Jeff, and three daughters, Erin, Audrey and Jamie.

Elders

In addition to our Senior Pastor, the following people comprise our Board of Elders.

Andrew Lange, Vice President & Treasurer

Andrew Lange

In addition to serving on the church board, Andrew teaches our middle school class, leads evangelism outreaches and occasionally preaches in our worship services. He lives in Canal Winchester with his wife, Jennifer, and two children, Catherine and Mitchell. Andrew is VP of Marketing for Ryder Corp.

Jeff Hammond, Church Board

Jeff Hammond

In addition to serving on the church board, Jeff leads a men's group and occasionally preaches at Sunday worship services. Jeff teaches sixth grade math at Watkins Middle School and is married to our children's ministry director. He is a former wrestling coach and an avid Ohio State fan.
